A One Tank of Gas Trip to Remember

The first thing that most people consider before making a trip is the expenses and this includes the fuel. In this time and day, fuel is a very expensive affair. There a ways to make trips to very memorable places without the wallet feeling the hefty difference. About fifty miles north of down town LA in Agua Dulce, there are sites known as Vasquez Rocks Natural Area parks. This place lets one escape the hustle and bustle of the city at a very reasonable price which is refilling the tank quarter way.

The sight comprises of rocks that from a spectacular formation that creates a beautiful landscape. The sight is just breath taking with massive slabs of stone that project from the floor at an angle of 45 degrees. Most of the formation is very steep but some rise gently enough making exploration by walking around possible. It is an ideal place to walk around; not too dangerous because the rocks have been gnarled which makes it easy to get a solid foothold.

There are very many activities that come with making this trip and hiking is one such activity. It is easy to climb the easy slopes. It is not a typical hike where one just follows the path but one can find trails in some sections of the park. In most cases one is left to find their own path in the midst of the rocks. It is an exciting experience though one should be very careful.  The weather is very warm there and there is very little shed so unless one is comfortable with the heat, should visit the place when it is cooler. There are other activities apart from horse riding and tours in addition to camping for people. One should look for a map to the place though it is not too far from the Escondido Canyon Road.

Apart from the Vasquez Rocks, there are other places to visit without incurring too many costs. The Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a very historical place. The weather can be a matter to consider in the summer but a visit to this place could give one a refreshing breath of air. The house was bought in 1905 and the Italian gardens supplemented four years afterward. It has history of even the people who lived in that house. The furnishing is unique to the house. It is graceful as well as inimitable. It is a garden with an impeccable ability to draw someone in. there is a pond that all the more makes the place cooler regardless of how the weather is. To get to the Kimberly Crest House and Gardens one should take the interstate ten about sixty miles east to the Ford Street outlet in Redlands. For more information, one should look at the map.

All the places mentioned above are venues that one can visit from Los Angeles without refilling the tank twice. They are places one can relax and get away from the busy city without incurring a loss and gain an experience.
